The overall crime rate in Wichita is 175.48% more than the national average. The violent crime rate is 194.07% higher than the national average, while the property crime rate is 171.79% higher. This suggests that residents in Wichita have a 1 in 88 chance of being a victim of violent crime, while residents have a 1 in 19 chance of being a victim of property crime which makes it one of the worst places to live in Kansas.
