Long Island Man Learns in Court That Teen He Allegedly Stabbed Outside Axe-Throwing Bar Died: ‘Oh My God’.

A fight broke out between the teens around 1:50 a.m. Thanksgiving morning outside Live Axe bar in NYC’s Chinatown.

A man charged over the fatal stabbing of a high school student on Long Island learned during his arraignment on Saturday that the victim died.

Gianluca Bordone, 19, was charged with manslaughter and assault after his violent altercation early Thursday morning with Rocco Rodden, 17, outside a Lower Manhattan axe-throwing bar, according to the police, the New York Post reported .

Bordone was being arraigned Saturday morning in Manhattan Criminal Court when he learned that Rodden died.

The 19-year-old suspect mouthed “oh my god” under his breath as the prosecutor told the judge that Rodden died, according to the Post.

A fight broke out between Bordone and Rodden around 1:50 a.m. Thanksgiving morning at 96 Lafayette St. in Chinatown.

At one point, Bordone allegedly stabbed Rodden and slashed his 19-year-old brother, across the torso, causing a deep laceration. The stabbing was caught on surveillance cameras.

The brothers were rushed to a hospital, but Rodden, a high school junior at Saint Joseph Regional High, died around 8:45 a.m. Thanksgiving morning.

Rodden had a 6-inch stab wound. The autopsy revealed that the knife pierced the left ventricle of his heart, according to the Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Eun Bi Kim.

The Post reported that the judge set $4 million bail for Bordone. According to online records, he is currently being held at the Eric M. Taylor Center and is due back in court on Wednesday.
