The accused, Lindsay Shiver, 36, and her alleged lover, 28-year-old Terrance Bethel, are suspected of conspiring to murder Lindsay’s estranged husband, Robert Shiver, a former Auburn football player. The murder for hire plot was discovered when Bahamian authorities stumbled upon damning evidence in WhatsApp messages while investigating the bar robbery earlier this month. According to reports from Bahamas Court News, Lindsay Shiver and Terrance Bethel were allegedly involved in a romantic relationship that led to the murder for hire conspiracy against Lindsay’s husband. The motive behind the murder for hire plot is believed to be Robert’s discovery of the affair and subsequent filing for divorce. With a common purpose, Lindsay, Bethel, and 29-year-old Faron Newbold allegedly devised a sinister plan to end Robert Shiver’s life during a meeting in Abaco, Bahamas.

Authorities have revealed little about the specifics of the murder for hire plot but confirmed that incriminating WhatsApp messages were found on a cell phone belonging to one of the suspects involved in the beach bar break-in. The suspects, Lindsay Shiver, Terrance Bethel, and Faron Newbold, were subsequently apprehended in Abaco and have been transported to a jail in Nassau, the country’s capital. They are expected to appear in court on October 5 to face charges related to the alleged murder forhire scheme. The unsettling revelation has left the community stunned, especially considering Lindsay’s former status as Miss Houston County and a cheerleader at Auburn University, where she met her husband during a fitness class. Robert Shiver, who once played as a snapper for the Auburn Tigers, later signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent. The murder for hire plot’s discovery highlights the dark side of a love triangle, showcasing the lengths some individuals may go to fulfill their sinister desires.
