Unidentified Victim: Details Emerge from Preliminary Investigation of Human Remains Found in Suitcases

In Delray Beach, Florida, police made a disturbing discovery when human remains of a woman were found inside three separate suitcases along the intracoastal waterway. According to People, the initial call came in when a suitcase containing human remains was spotted in the water near Palm Trail. Subsequently, two more suitcases were found in nearby locations (SE 7th Avenue and Casuarina Road) also containing human remains. Authorities believe that all the remains belong to a single unidentified adult female.

Based on their preliminary investigation of the human remains, the victim is described as a white or Hispanic middle-aged woman, approximately 5’4″ tall, with brown hair and tattooed eyebrows. She was last seen wearing a floral tank top with a black undershirt and black mid-thigh shorts. The estimated age range of the woman is between 35 and 55 years old. The timeline suggests that she may have been placed in the waterway sometime between July 17 and the day of discovery. This was reported in USA Today.

Community Involvement Crucial: Delray Beach Police Seek Public Assistance in Investigation of Human Remains Case

In their efforts to gather more information about the human remains, the Delray Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in reviewing video surveillance cameras from the area during the specified timeframe. They are specifically asking for people to be on the lookout for unusual vehicles, individuals, and anyone carrying or moving luggage in the vicinity. While the stretch of waterway is extensive, they believe the ‘human remains at Delray Beach’ incident is isolated and not linked to human trafficking, drug trade, or domestic violence.

The People added, authorities are actively investigating all leads and urge anyone with relevant information to come forward and contact Detective Mike Liberta at 561-243-7874. The ‘human remains at Delray Beach’ case is still under scrutiny as they work to identify the victim and determine the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.
