Chrisley Knows Best Stars Todd and Julie Chrisley Win Sentence Reduction Appeal
In a surprising turn of events, reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, famous for their show “Chrisley Knows Best,” have successfully appealed to have their prison sentences reduced after being found guilty of 12 counts in 2022. According to a published article in Metro, Todd, aged 54, initially received a 12-year prison term, while Julie, aged 50, was sentenced to seven years. However, their sentences have now been revised, offering the couple an earlier release.
Todd’s sentence has been reduced by two years, resulting in a new release date set for January 2033. In a more significant reduction, Julie’s sentence was reportedly shortened by 14 months, moving her release date up to October 2028. The “Chrisley Knows Best” stars’ attorney, Jay Surgent, explained that their appeal argued that their constitutional rights were violated, leading to an unfair hearing.

“Chrisley Knows Best” Stars Todd and Julie’s Dramatic Downfall
According to Vulture, it’s been quite a rollercoaster for the “Chrisley Knows Best” stars, Todd and Julie, who are parents to five children. They found themselves in hot water, facing conviction for a scheme to defraud local banks of a whopping $30 million (£24 million) in loans. What’s more, they were caught hiding millions of dollars in income from their reality show.
Their not-so-honest dealings involved cooking up false bank statements, audit reports, and personal financial statements to score these fraudulent loans. And what did they do with all that illicit cash? Well, they went all out, splurging on fancy cars, designer wardrobes, posh real estate, and extravagant globe-trotting adventures.
As if that wasn’t enough drama, their long-beloved reality show, “Chrisley Knows Best,” was given the boot, and even its spin-off, “Growing Up Chrisley,” which kept up with their kids Chase and Savannah, got the ax. But now, with their prison sentences trimmed down unexpectedly, it seems there’s a new twist in their legal saga that could potentially reshape their lives and careers.
