Retirement/Pension Checks and Supplemental Security Income, Claim it as Early as Sep 7!
However, there’s a special group of retirees who will get their retirement/pension checks a bit earlier, on September 7. This group includes retirees who get both Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and regular Social Security benefits, people who retired before 1997, and retired U.S. citizens living abroad.
While the upcoming payments bring relief to many seniors, Congress is currently discussing the future of Social Security. There might be necessary changes to ensure long-term stability but rest assured, these changes likely won’t impact current Social Security beneficiaries. Additionally, it’s important to understand that these retirement/pension checks differ from other forms of SSA assistance, such as disability insurance or Supplemental Security Income, which will be issued on September 1st.
