After a three-week-long search, investigators discovered Roberson’s remains, leading to Anderson’s murder charges and arrest by a SWAT team raid. Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett confirmed on Saturday that “foul play was evident” in Roberson’s disappearance, triggering the filing of murder charges against her husband. The chilling sequence of murder charges events began on July 16 when Imani Roberson, 29, was last seen after having dinner with her mother and four children. The following day, her mother filed a missing persons report and murder charges after failing to reach her. Ten days later, Roberson’s burned car was found in a wooded area, raising further suspicions. It took another eight days for police to locate her body, discovered by K-9 cadaver dogs in a nearby wooded area.

Donell Anderson’s murder charges arrest took place at an Atlanta apartment, where he was taken into custody and charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime. According to Sheriff Levett, the last known sighting of Imani Roberson had her returning home with two of her children, while leaving the other two at her mother’s house. The murder charges investigation involved search warrants on various locations, including the victim’s home and examination of cell phones for crucial evidence. Imani Roberson’s family expressed their grief and relief at the developments during an emotional press conference. Her mother, Clarine Andujar-White, stated, “Today is a very difficult day for our family. Late last night, my worst fears were confirmed, and our family is devastated.” Roberson’s father, overcome with sorrow, shared, “It’s not the news that we wanted, but I’m happy that we can hold him accountable.” The family thanked the public, media, and law enforcement for their support throughout the murder charges investigation and urged the community to continue assisting in their pursuit of justice.
