97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Is Highest-Rated of All-Time
The annual event floated to an all-time high, attracting over 28 million viewers over all platforms.
As if more proof was needed that people love a good Turkey Day parade!
Including all platforms, Thursday’s 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade attracted over 28 million viewers, making it the highest-rated to date. And the annual New York City event’s live-linear telecast on NBC alone was watched by more than 22 million, the most of any entertainment program in 2023.
The Thanksgiving Day Parade featured plenty of highlights, including a performance from Cher, a special appearance from Beyoncé , and a viral moment from the One Piece float . In its parade debut, the balloon for Monkey D. Luffy, the manga series’ protagonist, hit a tree, causing Luffy’s signature hat to deflate.
