In a major drug bust, New Jersey police seized $15 million worth of heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine in a ring takedown. The searches were conducted in Hoboken, Jersey City, Elizabeth, and Montclair after obtaining court-issued search warrants. Seven pistols, two of which were reported stolen, were found along with over 2.5 kilograms of cocaine. In another incident, a manhunt was launched for a 30-year-old man accused of killing an Elizabeth woman on Thanksgiving morning. The suspect, Gerard Manning, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Lastly, members of the Elizabeth Police Department successfully completed the Law Enforcement Executive Development Association Executive Leadership Institute course.
