On January 14, 2025, the Westside Narcotics Task Force (HIDTA), in collaboration with the Houston Police Department Narcotics Division, conducted an undercover operation in the Houston metropolitan area targeting the attempted sale of multiple kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
The operation led to the seizure of 40.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, three semi-automatic pistols, and the arrest of Armando Rosas-Espino.
The Westside Narcotics Task Force operates across five counties and is composed of investigators from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville PD, Sealy PD, Hempstead PD, Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office, and the DEA.
The investigation remains ongoing.
