Former President Donald Trump made a rare appearance in the Big Apple on Labor Day after hosting an event for MAGA-supporting motorcyclists at his New Jersey golf club.
Trump, 77, waved to the camera as he strolled into Trump Tower in Manhattan, where he used to live full-time before moving to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida following his failed 2020 presidential re-election campaign.
Trump, who was sporting a dark suit jacket and slacks with a white shirt, spent part of the day with throngs of supporters at his Bedminster golf club.
“A very large group of ‘Bikers for Trump’ just left Bedminster,” he posted on Truth Social Monday afternoon. “What a great time we all had.”
Monday’s trip to Trump Tower is believed to be the former president’s first visit to New York City since he showed up in late May on Memorial Day .
Trump is facing a litany of criminal charges as he runs for another shot at the White House in 2024.
Since March, he’s been indicted in four criminal cases, including in Manhattan by District Attorney Alvin Bragg over alleged hush-money payments leading up to his successful 2016 presidential election.
Trump was most recently indicted in Georgia, accused of breaking a slew of laws so he could remain in power despite losing the 2020 presidential election to former Vice President Joe Biden.
He is also facing criminal charges in two federal cases related to his storage of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago and his bid to overturn the 2020 election.
Last week, New York Attorney General Letitia James alleged in court papers that Trump “grossly” exaggerated his net worth on financial disclosure forms for a decade.
The new filing comes as James’ office asks a judge to rule on parts of her $250 million lawsuit against Trump, his company and his two oldest sons.
Despite Trump’s various legal headaches, he continues to lead by a notable margin in the polls against other Republicans looking to grab the GOP nomination for president.
