In east Texas, five individuals have been arrested in connection with Texas shooting incidents involving the death of a 16-year-old boy who was shot dead on Alexander Street earlier this summer. According to Law & Crime, the case caught the attention of law enforcement in Marshall, a town known as the “Athens” of the Lone Star State, due to a disturbing fact – the boy’s body was left lying in the street for several hours before anyone alerted the police.
According to reports, on June 7, around 1:30 a.m., emergency services received calls about a person lying on Alexander Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased teenage boy with a single gunshot wound to the chest. Shockingly, investigations revealed that the young man had been lying there for over an hour and a half before authorities were notified about the Texas shooting incidents. At least two cars had passed by the body without calling the police, as reported. Furthermore, during this time, some individuals allegedly took photos and videos of the body while others drove around it.
Arrests Made in Texas Shooting Incidents: Adults and Minors Face Charges of Tampering with Evidence and Failure to Report Human Remains
In connection with the Texas shooting incidents, three adults and two minors have been arrested. Law & Crime further reported that Tyra Valentine (24), Diamond Roach (32), and Alexander Morrison (50), all from Marshall, face charges of tampering with evidence and failure to report human remains. The two minors, whose names have not been disclosed, are charged with felony counts of organized criminal activity for robbery related to Texas shooting incidents, as reported. The adults have been charged with misdemeanors. Reports further stated that some of the accused have previous criminal records, while Morrison is the only one with a pending court date at this time.
The investigation into the Texas shooting incidents is ongoing, and the Marshall Police Department has promised to provide additional information in the future. As of now, identifying information about the victim has not been released due to his age. Law enforcement is actively fulfilling a records request filed by Law&Crime, a media outlet closely monitoring the Texas shooting incidents case.
