Teens On Motorbike Slam Into Parked SUV With NYPD In Pursuit: Video

A wild chase in Queens ended with two teens slamming their motorbike into a parked car as cops pursued them, the NYPD said.

The incident — which began with police investigating reports of shots fired at a school — took a wrong turn when the operator of the motorbike sped off as cops tried to stop them, authorities said.

The drama unfolded shortly after 4 p.m. Friday when gunshots rang out at PS 22 on Sanford Avenue, police said.

An eyewitness provided officers with a description of a male who fled on a dark-colored, two-wheel vehicle, authorities said.

Cops attempted to stop the vehicle near Franklin Avenue and Bowne Street, but the driver didn’t stop, the NYPD said.

While traveling east on Franklin Avenue towards Bowne Street, the driver “failed to navigate the roadways and collided with a parked unoccupied gray SUV,” an NYPD spokesman said.

The 16-year-old operator suffered head trauma and was initially transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian Queens in stable condition, but later moved to New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, the spokesman said.

The 14-year-old motorbike passenger sustained cuts and bruises to his hand and was transported to New York-Presbyterian Queens in stable condition, the spokesman said. The officers were not hurt.

The NYPD spokesman would not say what precipitated the pursuit or why the cops stopped the motorbike. “The investigation is ongoing,” he said, adding, “There are no arrests at this time.”

In a 19-second clip obtained by The Post, three people are looking down the block when seconds later the motorbike slams into the SUV, and the two riders are thrown from the vehicle.

Four plainclothes cops following in two unmarked cars jump out of their vehicles and one officer tends to an individual who isn’t moving while the other cops run down the block.

Both teens were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, reckless endangerment, obstruction of governmental administration, fleeing from officers in a motor vehicle and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.

The duo had a switchblade and narcotics on them, cops said.

Their names weren’t released because they are juveniles.
