On January 16, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to assist an off-duty constable deputy who discovered two male suspects inside his personal vehicle in the 6700 block of FM 1960 West. The off-duty deputy attempted to detain one of the suspects, but the individual, later identified as 17-year-old Christian Dow, resisted arrest and physically fought the deputy, causing minor injuries.
Assisting units arrived at the scene, and Dow was eventually detained. The second male suspect fled the scene, and a warrant for his arrest will be filed once his identity is confirmed.
Christian Dow was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, facing charges of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle and Assault on a Police Officer. His bond was set at $1,100.00, with charges filed in County Court 8 and the 230th District Court. The investigation is ongoing.
