Suspect in November Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Austin Arrested

The Austin Police Department (APD) has arrested 28-year-old Aldair J. Albiter-Casas in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at approximately 6:29 p.m.

The crash took place at the intersection of East Stassney Lane and Teri Road in Austin, where a pedestrian, identified as Kyla Walker, was struck by a vehicle. Walker was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene but was later identified as Albiter-Casas. He has been charged with Collision Involving Death and was booked into the Travis County Jail.
