The building of four neighborhood family clinics are not part of JPS’s plans anymore.
Cancelled Plans For Neighborhood Family Clinics
The JPS quietly cancels plans about the building of neighborhood family clinics. These neighborhood family clinics were part of a bond program that was approved by voters in the year 2018.
Budget problems and constraints were the reasons for the cancellation of the plans about the neighborhood family clinics. A JPS board member was the one who disclosed such information about the neighborhood family clinics.
These planned neighborhood family clinics, which were also called as medical homes, had the intention to expand access to care to many people. It is also said that the bond program will instead fund a different clinic in Tarrant County.
According to a published article by Fort Worth Star-Telegram, JPS had to alter plans about the building of the neighborhood family clinics. And last Thursday, a JPS leader formally acknowledged the change of plans about the neighborhood family clinics.
