HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, an officer from an outside agency was shot near the 9300 block of Stella Link Road, in front of a Dollar Tree store close to the 610 South Loop.
The incident occurred earlier today, and preliminary information indicates that a suspect shot the officer before fleeing on foot. The officer was transported to Ben Taub Hospital, and their condition is currently unknown.
A search for the suspect is ongoing. Residents are urged to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
Several law enforcement agencies were spotted on scene including the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force.
