Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing turned out to be VERY lucky for several people in New York.
The New York State Lottery announced that there were four “Big Money” winning Powerball tickets sold in the state from last night’s Powerball drawing.

One ticket that was sold at a grocery store on 37th Ave in New York City won $1 million dollars. That ticket matched all 5 numbers but missed the Powerball number.
Three other tickets sold in New York matched four out of five numbers and matched the Powerball number. Each of those tickets won $50,000.

No one claimed the $856 million grand prize last night so the jackpot is now up to $925 million dollars for Saturday Night’s drawing. This is the 4th largest jackpot in Powerball history.
The last time someone won the grand prize jackpot was back in July of this year when someone in California claimed the $1.08 billion dollar prize.
