Get ready for a weekend full of fun, music, and charity at the Coney Island Pinball, Digital Konfusion & The Marley’s Angels’ event: SWEDDAWEDDA – Free Play Arcade Weekend & Clothing Drive at The Freak Bar, 1208 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY. The event will take place from Sat, Nov 25 at 2pm to Sun, Nov 26 at 1am.
The event organizers are pulling out all the stops to support Coney Island USA during the off-season. The Freak Bar will be filled with retro arcade and pinball machines, all set to free play for the entire weekend. But the fun doesn’t stop there.
In addition to the gaming extravaganza, there will be a warm clothes and canned food drive to help those in need. Attendees are encouraged to bring coats, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, scarves, and canned food items. All clothing items must be clean and not damaged, and all canned food must have original labels and not be expired.
The event will also feature live DJs and a Saturday night arcade party. Daytime music will be provided by DJ Joe Joe from Digital Konfusion, and the “Give Thanks” DJ Arcade Party will kick off at 8PM on Saturday night.
Entry to the event is free. Just come out, buy some drinks, play some games, and donate unwanted items to support a great organization and help those in need. And while you’re there, keep an eye out for the grand opening of the 80’s Retro Arcade coming to the Shooting Gallery Arts Annex on Surf Avenue in 2024.
