Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest connected to the death of a 66-year-old man found at an apartment complex on 1703 Gray Street on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
The person of interest is described as an unknown Black female, who has not been charged. A surveillance photo of the woman has been released, and she is wanted for questioning.
The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Davidson and R. Bounds, HPD patrol officers, along with Houston Fire Department paramedics, responded to a report of a person down at the apartment complex around 2:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the man inside an apartment with apparent blunt force trauma injuries. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The investigation revealed that an unknown Black female, later identified as a person of interest, approached apartment staff and mentioned that someone in the victim’s apartment required medical help. The female left the scene before officers arrived.
