Funeral held for 1-year-old who died at Kingsbridge day care from fentanyl exposure.
Loved ones and community members joined together on Friday to mourn the loss of 1-year-old Nicholas Dominici, who died after being exposed to fentanyl at a Kingsbridge day care.
Police are continuing their investigation at Davino Nino Day Care Center, where Dominici and at least three other children were confirmed to be exposed to fentanyl last week.

The tragic situation has not only devastated the parents of those poor child victims, but those near and far to the family alike.
“This is a day care. You bring your child here for someone to take care and take care of that child for you, and you can go to work in peace,” said Avilda Cordero, a child welfare advocate. “Then you come back and know that your child is not going to come back home, I mean, come on.”
Day care owner Grei Mendez and Carlisto Acevedo-Brito, who rented a room inside the day care, are both being held without bail on federal drug trafficking charges and other charges, including murder.
The search is still on for the husband of Grei Mendez, who police believe also was involved in this fatal incident.
A burial for Dominici is expected to take place on Saturday morning.
