Employee Raise in Texas: Schools Dig Own Saving Accounts

Schools in Texas didn’t get any funds for employee raises, decided to dig into the schools’ savings accounts. Moreover, school heads are in the process of approving their budgets for the employees.

This year’s legislative session ended without giving the public schools money for employee raises. District Schools are finding ways to give their employee raises.

There are schools in Texas that are digging their savings accounts to make their employee feel valued in time of struggles to keep the school from running.

The House Bill 100 mandated that an average of $100 per month will helped the schools financial. Districts in Texas were hopeful that this bill will pass even though their is a delayed in drafting their budgets on employee raises.

The House opposed the bill and the districts across Texas were disappointed after the Senate Republicans after a last minute bid to implement the voucher program.

Another Senate Bill was proposed by Sen. Brandon Creighton, R-Conroe.  At this time the teachers and other unions condemn the usage of the district size to decide the employee raises.

It is expected to call for another session this year about the school voucher program. Teachers and other employee in Texas supported the lawmakers in urging to pass the employee raise proposal specifically the teacher pay proposal.
