State police confirmed that a drunk Delaware man identified as Jamal Wing bit a K9 dog and resisted arrest from the authorities.
Drunk Delaware Man Bit a K9 Dog and Resisted Arrest
State police said that a drunk Delaware man identified as Jamal Wing, 47 years old, bit a K9 dog multiple times and resisted arrest from the police authorities. This happened after the Delaware cops pulled him over in a Wilmington parking lot for speeding on a highway around 1:40 am.
In a published article in FOX News, police authorities told the Delaware man to return to his vehicle but he refused to follow the cops’ command. He also bit the K9 dog multiple times to evade arrest from the state police or the troopers.
State police troopers said that the Delaware man smelled alcohol after they apprehended him. They also observed that he has signs of impairment. Moreover, the Delaware man suffered multiple injuries for fighting with the police during the arrest.
Drunk Delaware Man Is Facing Multiple Charges
According to a published article in New York Post, drunk Delaware man Jamal Wing is facing the following charges:
- Two counts of assaulting a police officer
- One count of assaulting a law enforcement animal
- Driving under the influence
- Two counts of resisting with force or violence,
- Criminal mischief
- Disorderly conduct
- Failure to have required insurance,
- Speeding in excess of posted limits and duty to sign and carry a license
These charges were filed after he was released from the hospital where he was treated. It was also found that he attempted to escape from the hospital and assaulted a trooper. Needless to say, Wing is now at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution and is set to have a bond of $34,200.
