Carolyn Bessette Reportedly Had a Rebellious Response to One of JFK Jr’s Party Rules.
The legendary love story between John F. Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bessette is full of twists, turns, passion, and, of course, the fighting . They were truly the definition of twin flames, they fought hard, and loved harder. While Bessette and Kennedy got together in 1994, they actually met years prior, but JFK Jr was still with his former flame Daryl Hannah, at the time. However, there was something about Carolyn.

In 1994, he started to chase her romantically, but she continued to say “no” (which allegedly never happened to him). After some persistence, they started to date, but he was reportedly frustrated with her free-spirit, rebellious nature . And that enigmatic rebellion didn’t stop, even months before their wedding.
JFK Jr’s former personal assistant RoseMarie Terenzio, said in her book Fairytale Interrupted that back on March 11, 1996, Bessette blatantly ignored one of JFK Jr’s party rules.
Even today, Bessette was known for her chic, minimalist and dark style; and was almost always seen in black. So when it came time for a party honoring JFK Jr’s magazine George, he requested everyone to not wear black.
Bessette’s response? She wore black anyway, and reportedly said, laughing, “F— it, I don’t care. I don’t work for George. I can wear black.”
And that she did, as you can see in the photo below:
As previously stated, Bessette and Kennedy met back in 1992, but didn’t start dating until 1994. They later wed in Sept 1996, and were together until their tragic deaths in 1999 while flying to Martha’s Vineyard.
