NYC father fatally stabs wife, 2 young children before killing himself: Report.
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A father allegedly stabbed his wife and his two children to death inside their Manhattan apartment in an apparent murder-suicide, according to multiple reports.
The 41-year-old man and his wife, 40, were discovered inside an apartment on West 86th Street, near Riverside Drive, around 3 p.m. on Monday, sources told the New York Post.
Their two kids, a 1-year-old boy and 3-year-old boy were also found dead inside.
Relatives went to check on the family after not hearing them since Sunday morning.
“My wife was supposed to take care of the little one,” the father of suspect Edison Lopez told the New York Daily News. “She couldn’t get inside the apartment. She started texting. She started calling. Then she called me and I went there.”
The NYPD identified the victims as Alexandra Witek, 40; Lucien Lopez, 3; and Calvin Lopez, 1.
