On January 9, 2025, the Brownsville Police Department Special Investigations Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Ruby Red Lane. This operation followed an ongoing investigation identifying the location as a site for the sale of illegal narcotics.
During the raid, agents arrested Agustin Camacho, 30, and Esmeralda Olivo, 38, on charges of manufacturing and delivering controlled substances. Camacho faces charges for 299.9 grams of cocaine (1st Degree Felony), while Olivo is charged for 252.3 grams of Xanax (1st Degree Felony).
Both suspects were arraigned on January 10, 2025. Camacho’s bond was set at $500,000, while Olivo’s bond was set at $300,000.
