HOUSTON, TX – A multi-vehicle crash on the North Freeway resulted in the death of an unidentified male driver Saturday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m. in the 16000 block of the North Freeway on the main lanes. According to preliminary findings, a silver 2015 Honda Civic, traveling northbound, failed to control its speed and struck the back of a silver 2022 Kia SUV. The impact caused the Kia to lose control and be struck again by a silver 2018 BMW sedan.
Occupants of the Kia and BMW were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. The driver of the Honda Civic, who was not wearing a seat belt, was found with no signs of life at the scene by Harris County ESD 11 EMS.
It is currently unknown if intoxication was a factor in the crash. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office – Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the case. The findings are preliminary and may be subject to change.
