SUV Operator Drives Vehicle Into NYC Subway Entrance, Gets Stuck.
Friday morning in New York City offered a sight that left many scratching their heads. An SUV, not parked on the street or in a parking lot, but jammed in the entrance of a subway station. Yes, you read that right.
The driver, behind the wheel of a black Nissan Rogue, made an unusual detour from the road. He jumped the curb and drove along the sidewalk. But the journey didn’t stop there. The SUV continued on its off-road adventure, only to become wedged in the narrow entrance of the 1 train subway station at 157th Street, near Broadway.
Miraculously, no one was injured during this strange incident that occurred around 9:12 a.m. The driver, who remains unidentified, received medical attention inside an ambulance before being escorted to a nearby police station for questioning.
Bystanders didn’t miss the opportunity to capture this bizarre event. Videos quickly surfaced online showing the car lodged in the entrance, with first responders on the scene. Chains were seen attached to the Nissan and another vehicle, indicating the impending challenge of extracting the SUV from its precarious position.
The NYPD Emergency Services Unit had the unenviable task of dislodging the car from the stairs..
