Fugitive Man Hostages a Woman at Caesars Palace
A fugitive man in Colorado identified as Matthew Mannix, 35 years old, was convicted of kidnapping in 2022 and property in property damage in 2012 hostage a woman on the 21st floor at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The standoff took hours that caused disruptions on Tuesday.
In a published article in FOX News, the woman, who was held hostage, was Mannix’s girlfriend. Police authorities said that both of them were under the influence of narcotics. However, the authorities did not release the identity of the woman.
Furthermore, the woman got cuts and bruises on her lower abdomen and legs. Police authorities also added that the woman is not seriously injured.

Fugitive Man Is Facing Multiple Charges
According to a published article in The Washington Post, Mannix will not be asked to enter pleas to charges that happened on Tuesday. He will face the following:
- First-degree kidnapping
- Coercion with the threat of force
- Destruction of property
- Resisting arrest with a deadly weapon, not a firearm
Meanwhile, he will face life imprisonment if he will be convicted of kidnapping. Additionally, Deputy Public Defender Marissa Pensabene, who is representing Mannix, said that she did not know yet if Mannix will post a bail in the amount of $750,000.
