Many residential hotels in Los Angeles are being chased by authorities. The Office of the Mayor requested investigation regarding this matter.

The officials of Housing Department in Los Angeles stated that they will investigate residential homes are turning into rooms that are being rented by the tourists.
According to the news of PROPUBLICA there are twenty-one one residential homes that are being advertise in the travelling websites.

The spokesperson of Housing Department said that for six to seven weeks the Housing Department will do an investigation regarding on the 21 residential homes that are being advertise in a travelling website.
This residentials homes are to provide housing for the poor family in the city of Los Angeles. Under the 2008 law, the hotels must be still or remain residential it will be void once there owner will build another building for replacements.
According to the officials they are positive that some of the residential homes are offering night rentals to the tourist.
After the investigation there are only four residential homes are under the 2008 law. Some of the residential homes frustrated the authorities from entering their properties without the presences of warrants.
Later the Housing Department said that they will continue to investigate and evaluate the resources that is being needed and important for the inspection of the residential homes.
