A missing 16-year-old Florida teen was found by the North Carolina authorities when they conducted a routine traffic stop and a suspected person was arrested.
Traffic Stop Led to the Discovery of Missing Florida Teen
North Carolina authorities used to conduct a routine traffic stop at the state line to stop the entry of any illegal activities. On July 4, the authorities pulled over a white Audi car with a Florida plate I-95 due to a traffic violation just after midnight.
In a published article in FOX News, Alejandro Hernandez Vasquez, 40 years old who drove the car, sounded suspicious when deputies asked him some routine questions. It was the time that they developed a reasonable suspicion that criminal activity was afoot.
The authorities also noticed a 16-year-old female passenger who was reported missing by the Coral Springs Police Department just five hours before the routine traffic stop. They immediately rescued the girl and transported her to the Wake County Juvenile Detention Center. It was also reported that her parents picked her up at the same Detention Center.

Man was Arrested in Connection to the Missing Florida Teen
According to a published article in ABC News, the missing 16-year-old Florida teen met Vasquez online. During the investigation, it was found that her parents did not also know the man and did not give him permission to transport her across the state line.
Nash County Sheriff Keith Stone said, “Monitor your kids’ social media because a lot of this stuff starts with people preying on children. If you’re not monitoring what your child is doing on the internet, then there’s the possibility that people are taking advantage of them. This older guy here was taking advantage of the 16-year-old. He was carrying her up North, and I’m sure it was not in the best interest of that girl or for society.”
