In an online post, the Canadian musician asserted his innocence and vowed to keep fighting until he won. After being convicted responsible for three offenses in December, Tory Lanez sentence to ten years in jail on Tuesday.
Despite receiving a 10-year prison term for shooting US hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez sentence has steadfastly refused to accept responsibility for “something I did not do.” I’ve never let adversity scare me, he stated on Instagram. In a statement, after Tory Lanez sentence said that he is “on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do” and that he is “in no way shape or form” repenting for “the charges I’m being wrongly convicted of.” The Associated Press reports that Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, told the judge he accepted “full responsibility” for the evening of July 12, 2020.
Megan Thee Stallion on Tory Lanez Sentence
Following a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills house, Lanez shot a revolver at Megan Thee Stallion’s feet and yelled for her to dance as she exited the SUV they were traveling in, according to evidence presented in court during the trial and Tory Lanez sentence to prison.
Prior to Tory Lanez sentence, he opted to address the court, declaring that he and Megan Thee Stallion were still “friends.” Megan Thee Stallion has not yet responded to the statement.
