Last weekend a South Carolina man was arrested after the police found a dead body inside a barrel, WSPA-TV reported.

The remains of an old man named Jeffrey Darin Sutphin,56-year-old were found inside the barrel floating at Lake Thicketty on Thursday, June 29. It was discovered by the Cherokee County deputies and other law enforcement during their investigation with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
Sutphin was declared missing on June 4, according to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office. It was stated that the decedent was last seen on Rutherfordton Highway driving his 2006 gold Jeep Liberty.
South Carolina man named Eric Shawn Fetzer, 25 years old, of Chesnee was arrested and charged with destruction and removal of human remains the day after the body was discovered.
It was stated by the office of Cherokee County Sheriff’s “The investigators are expected to have additional arrests regarding the incidents in Cherokee County in the coming days regarding to the human remains found in Lake Thicketty” during the report of The Spartanburg Herald-Journal.
It was added to the report that the autopsy has been completed, but the Cherokee County office is still waiting for the toxicology report that would take several weeks.
