Man takes cellphone and flees as train doors close NYPD

Brooklyn, New York — A woman was on a northbound L train when a man stole her phone and fled as the doors closed, according to the NYPD.

The event took place around 4:40 p.m. at the Jefferson Street subway stop.

According to authorities, the 23-year-old victim remained aboard the train while the suspect fled the area. There were no injuries recorded.

The guy was last spotted wearing a blue hooded jacket with camouflage leggings. The NYPD published the following image of the individual.

Anyone with knowledge is encouraged to call the police.
