Starting Friday, skies will be partly to mainly cloudy, but heavier downpours will move through the region by late afternoon or early evening.
This is all due to a very slow moving low pressure system approaching from the north and west.
While the rain will not be continual, torrential downpours and thunderclaps will continue overnight and into Saturday morning.
A small respite may be found in the late morning to early afternoon, before more heavy rain and storms sweep through the region in the afternoon.
Rainfall totals will be between 0.5 and 1.5 inches for most people, but isolated areas may see totals of more than 2 inches, which is where we’ll be looking for localized flash floods.
Stay weather alert.
