Riverton — The Riverton Police Department revealed that an 18-year-old died of injuries sustained after being shot by his 46-year-old father.
According to Josh Lee of Riverton Police Department, the incident occurred around 3 p.m. in a residence on Kesler Peak Drive.
Lee stated that medical personnel were dispatched and attempted to save the teen. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
“It is being described to us as an accidental shooting,” Lee told KSL-TV. “As is standard protocol we still have an investigation going on, we have detectives on the scene at the house.”
Police said the father is being questioned at the station and is cooperating with them.
